O sea que s\u00f3lo me voy a poner en forma si me pica una ara\u00f1a radioactiva \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Ese descubrimiento vino de la mano de una <a href=\"http:\/\/andresb.net\/blog\/post\/2007\/01\/hola-dell-te-llama-un-cliente\/\">laaaaarga llamada al call center de Dell<\/a>, para saber qu\u00e9 hab\u00eda pasado con un toner de impresora.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora viene la sorpresa. Despu\u00e9s de publicar ese post, comenc\u00e9 a recibir llamadas de parte de alguien de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dell.com\">Dell<\/a>. Al menos dos veces a la semana me dejaba un mensaje, que yo ignoraba con calma, pensando que me quer\u00eda vender m\u00e1s toner, o alg\u00fan otro tipo de up\/cross-sell.<\/p>\n<p>Hasta que me encontr\u00e9 con un amigo que trabaja en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gcigroup.com\/\">GCI<\/a>, la agencia de relaciones p\u00fablicas de Dell. Desde Austin le lleg\u00f3 la pregunta de si me conoc\u00eda, y result\u00f3 que s\u00ed (adem\u00e1s, mientras estuve en Grey Interactive compart\u00edamos paredes con GCI, as\u00ed que era dentro de la familia el asunto).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resumen: Dell est\u00e1 leyendo blogs y medios sociales con MUCHA atenci\u00f3n. El tipo que me llamaba no estaba tratando de venderme nada, sino de averiguar qu\u00e9 hab\u00eda salido mal y ofrecerme soluciones (prueba de que \u00abpiensa mal y acertar\u00e1s\u00bb no funciona siempre).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Desde hace un par de meses estoy leyendo que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.web-strategist.com\/blog\/2007\/02\/25\/social-media-saga-continues-as-company-advances-towards-dell-swell\/\">Dell est\u00e1 \u00abhaciendo las paces\u00bb<\/a> con varios bloggers, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzmachine.com\/2007\/04\/03\/drinks-with-dell\/\">Jeff Jarvis<\/a> inclu\u00eddo, y est\u00e1n <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ideastorm.com\/\">dando pasos<\/a> y <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dell.com\/linuxsurvey\">tendiendo puentes<\/a> hacia los lugares correctos. Ahora puedo afirmar que no s\u00f3lo ser quedan en la blog\u00f3sfera yankee y europea, tienen un o\u00eddo puesto en Latinoam\u00e9rica tambi\u00e9n, lo que me parece extremadamente sano.<\/p>\n<p>Todav\u00eda tienen cosas que solucionar, la experiencia de llamar a un call center y perderse en el laberinto no es la major manera de pasar un rato, pero no se puede decir que persistan en la \u00absordera\u00bb que <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzmachine.com\/index.php?tag=dell\">se les achacaba<\/a> antes.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dell: swell<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I complained <a href=\"http:\/\/andresb.net\/blog\/post\/2007\/01\/hola-dell-te-llama-un-cliente\/\">here<\/a> about not getting good service from Dell&#8217;s call center, and then I started getting calls from a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dell.com\">Dell<\/a> executive, calls I ignored thinking it was some up\/cross-sell.<\/p>\n<p>A friend of mine who works for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gcigroup.com\">GCI<\/a> (Dell&#8217;s PR agency) told me the whole story. Dell is reading LOTS of blogs, monitoring all kinds of social media, and a couple of days after my post the phones at the mexican GCI offices rang asking if they knew me (I&#8217;m almost insignificant, but coincidentally I managed Grey Interactive, part of the same group, and I know the whole GCI team).<\/p>\n<p>The calls I ignored were pure customer service, an I have to say this matter changed my perception of Dell. I&#8217;ve been reading about them <a href=\"http:\/\/www.web-strategist.com\/blog\/2007\/02\/25\/social-media-saga-continues-as-company-advances-towards-dell-swell\/\">listening more<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/direct2dell.com\/one2one\/archive\/2007\/03\/13\/7985.aspx\">responding<\/a> in time, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzmachine.com\/2007\/04\/03\/drinks-with-dell\/\">building bridges<\/a> and now I can say they&#8217;re not keeping it just for USA and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>They still have some rough edges to sand, but they&#8217;re in the right path, if you ask me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hace un tiempo descubr\u00ed que el superh\u00e9roe que m\u00e1s coincide conmigo es Spiderman.
